The $17.5 billion question: Has the Universal Child Care Benefit given families “choice in child care”?

New report released by the Childcare Resource and Research Unit 

 

In this new report, current data is used to determine whether families’ “choice in child care” has improved between 2006 and 2012 through receiving the Universal Child Care Benefit. The report from CRRU provides an analysis of recent data and a number of studies which examined the UCCB in an effort to shed light on just how many choices real Canadian families have when it comes to childcare.
